Bridges to the Past

2023 Vesalius Trust-a-Thon

My talented classmates and I joined forces as team Hippo-canvas for the 2023 Vesalius Trust-a-thon. This hackathon-like event is hosted by the American Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) each year to raise money for student scholarships.

The theme for the competition, “Bridging the Gap”, was revealed at the start of the 14-day competition. We brainstormed several ideas but ultimately landed upon an interactive experience that would educate high school students about de-extinction and one way that humans are bringing the wooly mammoth back to life.

We had such a blast and learned a lot!
